Welcome to the website of ArTu-DTu, or Archaeological STudy of Dajaniya & Tuwaneh, an archaeological research project of Roman and Byzantine sites in South Jordan led by archaeologists from the Department of Classical Archaeology of the Jagiellonian University Institute of Archaeology.

Our project owes its name to two sites that we began to document in autumn 2018: the Roman and Byzantine fort in Dajaniya and the remains of the town of Tuwaneh.
